New to Pasture Management WWYD?

Hi Peeps,
We've always had our horses in livery so not really had to think too much about pasture management, but wondered if those with more knowledge and experience would mind giving me some advice on how best to proceed with this type of area which we want to utilise as grazing....

Are you using a photograph host site such as Photobucket, Flickr or Instagram? If you are trying to post a photo directly, I'm afraid that won't work.

A good first step would be to make a friend of your farming neighbour and pick his brains. An alternative would be to get a soil anaysis done (not cheap), but your neighbour might probably know if there are any deficiencies. Farmers tend to look over fences to see what is going on next door and he could be a mine of information and advice wich will cost you no more than a nice smile and a wave now and then!
