New to sharing and rider insurance, help please?

Hi everyone, just started sharing a 16.2 tb gelding, previously been used to native ponies (mostly Highlands). I will be having lessons to really learn how to ride him! I am completely new to sharing though, and have no idea about rider insurance. Horse is fully insured so not really sure what I need/should get? And also if I need insurance, then which companies and policies are best? Thanks.

Petplan do a rider's insurance which I have. It gives me cover should my equipment get stolen or damaged say from a fall. It also gives me hospital cover and covers the part loan should she need emergency vet fees, 3rd party and custodial liability should I need it.

I've never had to make a claim so couldn't tell you about that side of things, but I believe they are well thought after should people need to make a claim.
