New trailer - doors or ramp?

I think I have decided on the Bateson Ascot, but not sure to have a normal ramp or doors.
I thought the ramp look a bit lower than my present trailer and one reason I want a new trailer is to have a better journey on the motorway, so if anything I would like the ramp to come up higher.

I think the doors have an adjustable top bit so they can go up a bit higher, does this work OK.
Anyone with any experience?
 
I have an Ascot with the doors. The gap at the top is a lot smaller than what you get with a ramp. Possibly only 1ft or so? There are little fold up flaps that you can put up to make it weather tight....

The doors are so mauch less hassle. I hardly ever get the ramp down. And every time I have the horse doesn't walk on it, just over it straight onto the trailer! :)
 
Ramp!

My friend has a trailer with doors and I hate it because my horse scrambles in it all panic-y. She goes in a trailer with a ramp calmly. I'm not swapping the horse so I got a trailer with a ramp because that's what she likes (and I like to keep her happy!). :)

Don't see why the doors would make any difference? They don't alter the ride at all?

Ah!! I see!!

How unusual. I have found horses much easier to load into my trailer because it doesn't have a ramp... Esp loader that tend to fall off sides of ramps as they go in cause they can't do that!
 
It really depends on the horse. If possible try out both types of trailer to find out which your horse prefers and if he/she likes both then get the one in the pretty colour! ;)
