New trainer in action 7

I was going to quietly observe and not post, but all I could think was, "Eh?"

Some of you think this is better? I don't. Armas' gait looks very choppy, not engaged at all. He's breaking at the third vertebrae, not the poll, for the entire ride. He looks really tight through the topline, more resistant and fussier in the bridle than on previous rides, and more uneven behind.

I agree, I haven't seen any previous posts about this horse. She seems to be riding him with a strong hand and no leg. He looks rally unhappy, tense, fussy in the mouth and very choppy. A horse who has had SI problems needs to be taught to stretch and work more over his back.
Wouldn't let her near my horse, sorry.

I see them at lower levels around me, but at the top I think one I have in mind through all of this is Rubi ridden by Goncalo Carvalho at the Olympics. I know that's a luso but still within the 'Iberian' bracket ;)
I thought that horse did one of the most stunning performances of the show. A VERY happy athlete.:) Through, active, willing, soft... you name it :)
Yes, Rubi is lovely and very well ridden, but he doesn't seem to score very highly does he? Could this be because he is very "Iberian" and not the same as the warmbloods he's up against? He (and also the exquisite Fuego, to a lesser extent) moves very differently and uses his body differently
