We normally use something on a horse's leg after an event especially when the ground is hard, and yesterday decided to try aloe vera gel. I know just how anti inflammatory it is because I use it myself, and have seen how it literally takes the sting or heat out of an injury.
So yesterday we put it on all Chocs legs under some bandages.
Today he is sound and his legs are cool, have I found something that may benefit us all? What do you reckon?
Only downside is it is expensive at £6 a pot, but Holland and Barret may have a cheaper option I'll look late this week.

yeah, infact it could mask something more serrious.. as said, if it's going to happen, its going to happen.

*doesn't stop me wanting to fuss over them tho hehe*

MMmmmmmm I agree, but should have said for minor type swellings it may work very well.
having had Jonty off for a year with that tendon injury nothing other than perhaps a laser would have worked on that.
The aloe is a lot less messy than event clay though, I loathe that stuff...
