Hello, my name is Gabrielle. I am a rider of 7 years, Western and English. I jump, do dressage, and barrel race, and overall just have fun with horses! I have a horse that I lease named Flower who is a beautiful little grey 15 hh Quarab.
 
Hi Gabi, sounds like you're in the US. It isn't normal in the UK to lease any horses except top class competition ones, and then only rarely.

I'd be really interested to hear more about leasing, I'll start a thread and hopefully you can join in.

Yes! I am in the US. Here, there are lots of horses for lease, anything from a beginner lesson pony to an extremely high level horse. There are lots of websites and platforms to find one. Personally I found Flower through my trainer who knew we would be perfect for each other. I also ride hunter jumper, and so she and I compete in shows together.
