Hi guys!

Need some inspiration for a nice gift. A good friend of mine is moving to her own little yard after her & her young daughter have had a very difficult time with bullying on a large livery yard. I would like to get them a lovely gift for their new yard but need some help!

Any nice ideas?

Thanks!

Name plates for ponies doors or an IOU a day or two caring for the ponies so she can take time away???
Love these ideas. Name plates are forever and can be done quite cheaply. I have a few slate ones at the moment from eBay.
The offer of time is also really lovely, it’s a bit of a shock to the system sometimes having your own place and suddenly no one to call on for a hand if needed.

First aid kits for both human and animal use, and/or a kettle and a nice big tin full of instant hot drink sachets, tea, snacks, etc.

This is a lovely idea - with some mugs and tea spoons. (gas stove if no electric)

Spare waterproofs to keep in the tack room? couple of towels for drying off (hair face etc) a bit.

I'm assuming she's come from DIY so probably has all her own mucking out and poo picking stuff?

Head torch and a stash of batteries. Does the new place have lights/electric? some battery lights from home bargains might be useful if not.

I'm just trying to think of the things I use most especially this time of year.

@Red-1 beat me to it with the clock.

Love all of these ideas thank you everyone! She is coming from DIY so does have a wide array of mucking out tools. But so many other really lovely ideas!

A Leaf blower! We have one on the yard and it’s a game changer…no more sweeping the yard now! Just press a button and flick! Can get them for around the £60 mark x

Head torch is an excellent idea, I have electricity to the yard/stables as well as security lights, but early morning and late night checks and indeed poo picking during the week in the winter require a powerful head torch!

Or how about a wooden trug or a hanging basket. She'll be able to replant it every year/season (I'm rubbish with plants and have no idea sorry!) and it will remind her of 'moving in' and that it was a thoughtful gift from a friend.
