What are your resolutions for 2010?
Mine are...

Horsey:
Ride more and for longer
Stop doing a teensy bit of flatwork and then bomb round the jumps 'cause flatwork is boring, and actually DO flatwork
Help mum with the mucking out more

Non-Horsey:
Actually DO homework and not put it off until 2am the night before it's due
No spend all my money at once Stop eating cr*p all the time

...Seems like I've got a lot to work on there

haven't even thought about mine yet! okay...
horsey:
get myself properly fit again as soon as banjaxed knee allows. do lots of core work as well as stamina work.
get back on my neds asap, and be more rigorous with my training and my aims.
stick to diet and get below 10 stone again and stay there!
non-horsey:
be even more diligent with my work in the hope of getting a big enough commission to buy another eventer!
make more effort to stay in touch with my mates all over the country/world!
learn to enjoy housework as a good work-out with added benefits!

To keep the house as tidy as the yard and stables so dont have to have a total muckout of house before my mother visits

To paint my set of jumps that have needed doing all of this year

To get the kids out competing as much as possible.

Not to change my plans to fit in with everyone else at the drop of a hat! (Yes a minor rant I am fed up with being messed about by a certain few people)

Think my horsey ones are like Kerilli's - get core area fit (lots of Pilates), get fitter generally, have some lunge lessons and onwards and upwards.

By the end of 2010

I would like to be thinner than I am now, down to a size 12/14 would suit me

I would like to be able to ride my youngster with confidence and cope with what ever is thrown at us

Not quite a new year resolution but a whole year one

Spend less time on HHO so I can spend longer with OH (that ones not going to last for a start!).
Eat more healthily and re-start Pilates so I am fit enough to do my lovely horse justice and don't end up completely knackered at the end of each day!
Manage time more efficiently so I can be more organised.
Apply hand cream each night so my poor hands and nails can look a bit more ladylike and not like a cross between a market gardener and mechanic!

1) more running aiming for twice as much as 2009, and do more racing some 5ks and another 10k possibly longer in 2010
2) eat healthier
3) be constructive with schooling in order to progress not just repeat lessons already learned
4) get a mark in the 70%'s at dressage in 2010
5) event both Jack and Soap all season and sell Dustry to a nice new home

personal aim....lose weight to get to that illusive goal, and get a toe on the property ladder!

I am hoping to get down to 7 1/2 stone...then I will be able to jump proper fences on my little man (13hh) instead of messing about at 1ft6/2ft stuff. Also OH wants to get another Shet (we have a mini Shet already), if we got an up to height up to weight standard Shet at that weight I would be able to potter about on it. How cool would that be

Serious horsey stuff will be to keep them all ticking over and competing successfully, big hope for next season is to qualify Ebony for the vhs regional finals then get her placed there

Horsey-
*keep them all fit and sound and happy
*get dani and bugsy back to discovery bsja and try newcomers
crazy.gif
eeek!
*do some hunter trials for fun on Monty
*do a lot more flatwork...and possibly have some flatwork lessons, and not just sj ones (which i already have)

Non Horsey-
*Really revise for my A levels to try and get the grades in my conditional offers for university
*keep on top of my school work, and not leaving everything to the last minute

lol

Not to swear in front of my 3 year old who is a little sponge!

To lose the last stone of 'baby weight' that I haven't yet shifted, after all my baby is now 8 months old. OH has some suggestions on how he can help on that one...

To not run my horse on ground that I'm not happy with.

To enjoy the season rather than setting lots of goals and then being disappointed when illness/injury mean they are no longer achievable.

We'll have to dig this thread out in a few months time and see how we've all got on!

Get fitter and run more, hopefully then loosing weight in the process

Be more organised.

Enjoy my "hobby" !! stop taking it so seriously.

Be more proactive with my friends.

Find the time to ride even though I'm commuting to London. Make the time to see old friends. Stop eating Haribo as a meal substitute. Publish lots of papers. Learn to do DIY!!!

Horsey: - Get my act together and sort out what I am doing with my two horses for the next 12 months. Get out to lots of clinics and register affiliated for whichever I choose; hopefully BE and BSJA.

Non - Horsey: - Keep cracking on with the school work starting erm . .NOW!

Horsey- get the 4 year old (rising 5, eek

) BEing- even if it is just one intro by the end of the year i'll be happy!
smile.gif
Bring the TB back in to proper work and enjoy whizzing round some hunter trials on him, oh and find him a sharer so i'm not so broke

So need to find time in my life to do some exercise everyday- even if only for half an hour in the evenings. also eat less crap- chocolate is NOT a suitable substitute for a meal after all. also be organised on the work front and stop procrastinating.....
