I cannot wait!

I’ve spent the whole weekend re-fencing anything that doesn’t look foal-proof. I’ve reorganized my grazing, split my mares up and taped off about a meter between their fields and the field that the little one will go into. I’m going to let them squeal and throw legs at a bit of a distance to start with.

I have bought her a headcollar, fly rug, her own sponges and some grooming items, stocked up on feed and water buckets, got the same sort of feed and supplements she’s been on at her breeder so she has some consistency.

I’ve booked the vet to do her second flu vacc and do a worm-count, I’ve got the dentist next week and the trimmer after that.

What am I forgetting? ?

Mimosa has been “helping” with the field maintenance. She is the self-appointed Chief Fencing Officer, Chair of the Hole Drilling Oversight Group, Lead Mare for the Power Tool Audit and Head of the Decorating Committee.
