Newbie and some London Help

Hi all, ive been a silent stalker on here for a number of years and finally bitten the bullet and became a member. Having recently given up my "gap 2 year" job of working at a professional dressage yard and moved to London to pursue my professional career I've hit a bit of a brick wall in terms of riding. Can anyone suggest somewhere easily accessible from London that teach at an advanced level (I've competed to advanced medium and am looking to progress jumping wise)? Oh to add to the difficulty somewhere that'll have something I can fit on (being a 6ft 3 guy does make it somewhat harder).

Where in London are you based and do you have a car? I'm in SW London so have an idea of what's going on :)

If you Google the London Riding Club they might be able to help, although membership isn't cheap it appears to cater for the more experienced rider as opposed to a novice who would be happy at your average riding school.

Or Oldencraig Equestrian Centre isn't too far from London and is probably the most dressage-oriented place in the area.
 
I live in highbury and don't have a car at the moment. But happy to commute by train further out. Was thinking oldencraig but wanted to get back jumping if at all possible
 
Might be worth checking out Trent Park Equestrian Centre. About 5 mins walk from Oakwood tube on Piccadilly line. It's many years since I rode there but they had over 50 horses so every size and shape. Might well have private lessons to suit.
 
Sorry bad phone .... Drive out to halingbury hall they had some good horses. Wouldn't bother with Trent park for real dressage (I used to work there) at the time they had one horse who could work at that level and he was small. Some folks rated countessa but I personally didn't - might be worth a try though. Always found Lee valley very disappointing - might be a good place to improve your jumping though. In all honesty for your dressage you might be better to ride privately since Suzannes closed I know of very few places in that area who could teach or improve changes or half pass etc at anything more than a basic way etc
 
Thanks for all your help guys. I never thought it'd be this hard to find somewhere; even in Windsor there seems to be very little. Jumping wise I was previously happy jumping 1.10 ish but this was before I converted to a life of keeping all 4 feet firmly on the ground and was a cocky 16 year old boy who wasn't scared of anything . Will give all your suggestions a look
 
I wouldn't bother with Trent Park at all. Never hear anything good about the place. Contessa's is very dressage orientated, The new Spanish instructor their is very good I've heard.
