Newbie introduction.

Hello, as I am new I thought I would write a bit about me!!!!!!!!!

I have...3 horses, 2 four year olds and a buy to sell project (who fingers crossed will go this week and not be replaced

)
I have to say...that the project not being replaced in unlikely to happen,

he is my fourth in four months!!!

I enjoy...bringing on young and problem horses, and showing and hunting

I paid...nothing for either of my horses at the moment

they were gifts

.
My favourite breed of horse....THOROUGHBREDS, I love them

I love...my partner

and my horses,

my home

, and life in general, I am very fortunate.

I really want....to qualify for HOYS on the better of my two youngsters, maybe next year.

I should have...been a jockey.

I am good at...feeding tb's

I wear....leather riding boots (always) sports bra (always)

I think...most horsey problems come from lack of riding.

and surfaces do more harm than we think.

My secret weapon....probiotic youghurt and guiness (in horse feed) ad lib hay, and as much turnout as possible.

I think I am - a gutsy rider with little or no style.

My addiction...horses (!!!)

I am proud of...horses past and present, my family, myself.

My secret confession...I hack in draw reins (shoot me down) only hack though, never school, and never tight.

My pet hate - all the gear and no idea.

My motto...When all else is failing, kick on and change what you are doing. (I have found this true with horses and people)

I would love to know a bit more about all of you

I have...2 horses, an 18 yr old ex racer and a 3 yr old part bred sec D who i have just backed

I enjoy...bringing on young and problem horses, same as!

I paid...very little for both my horse ex racer was going to be shot and welshie came off the hills as a scruffy weanling!

My favourite breed of horse....THOROUGHBREDS, I love them - same as!!!

I love...my partner and my horses, my home , and life in general, I am very fortunate. same but also my ridgeback puppy!!!

I really want....to start having fun with my girlies after a tough year!

I should have...worked harder at school

I am good at...being positive

I wear....scruffy clothes and ball gowns (i'm an opera singer)

I think...everyone has something to learn from everyone else!

My secret weapon....Baileys lo cal balancer

I think I am - a gutsy rider with little or no style-ditto

My addiction...horses (!!!) -likewise

I am proud of...horses past and present, my puppy and my house!

My secret confession...I am very lazy!

My pet hate - crappy owners

My motto...try try try and if all else fails go down the pub and try again tomorrow!

hello and welcome to HHO. I look forward to hearing about your adventures with your horses. I used to ride racehorses as a teenager for a local trainer too. I don't own a tb though.I have owned them in the past but these days I much prefer my young lippi x cob in my sig.He has far more character than any tb I have ever had and I wouldn't swap him for the world. Where abouts are you from?

I have...1 horse (IDx 14ish 16.2 gelding with vitiligo) and I look after my sisters horse as livery fees (he's 15yo, 16h welsh x hannoverian, black gelding)

I enjoy...bringing on young and problem horses, working with what I've got. Hunting.

I studied... BSc Honours Animal Science with Agriculture, major was animal nutrition

My favourite breed of horse.... the Irish Draft, the Welsh cob....

I love...my partner and my horses, my home , and life in general, I am very fortunate. Same here... But also my brass band.

I really want....to start my own business.

I should have...worked harder at school and gone to vet school

I am good at...being self critical. I'm also good at knowing how to correct a riders faults and so change the horse's way of going.

I wear....scruffy clothes and strange uniforms (banding!)

I think...everyone has something to learn from everyone else!

My secret weapon....Baileys lo cal balancer (SAME!!) and Full Fat soya.

I think I am - a patient rider

My addiction...horses (!!!) -likewise

My secret confession...I can find a shortcut to almost anything!

My pet hate - people forcing their opinion on you without listening to yours.

I'm interested in this probiotic and guiness diet!! Tell me all as i have and ex race horse who is a) impossible to keep weight on (well not impossible just difficult) so im always interested in new tips for feeding! b) he is massively fussy! do they like guiness and yoghurt!?

I have ...1 horse, Archie (in my siggy) a 16.2hh ID x cob, 7 years old, who I have owned for 3 1/2 years

I enjoy ... leisurely hacks in the surrounding countryside, stopping off for a picnic and a rest and enjoying the quiet

I paid ... a lot of money for Archie as a newly broken 4 year old but has been worth every penny and, imo, worth much more now, however, it is very, very unlikely he will ever be sold

My favourite breed of horse ... oh, I love them all, particularly those with long flowing manes and tails

I love...my husband, my children, my siblings, my horse, my animals home (in no particular order

)

I really want ... to get back on Archie after my fall and subsequent surgery but am having to be very, very patient

I should have ... married a millionaire cos I spend money like I am married to one

I am good at ... being a supportive friend

I wear ... casual riding clothers - jeans, shirt, boots and always my hat and when I get back riding, defo a BP

I think...most horsey problems come from misunderstanding our horses and not taking notice of the signals they impart to us

My secret weapon ... 24/7/365 turnout, ad lib hay in winter and daily checks and maintenance

I think I am ... a quiet, non-competitive rider who has my own style which works for me and Archie

My addiction ... HHO - I am an official addict, you know

I am proud of ... my horse, animals and my family

My secret confession...I would love to be an eventer but cannot bring myself to even go over a trotting pole

My pet hate - people who discard horses when they are no longer useful for their purpose and give no thought whatsoever to their future

My motto ... if you want something, get off your arse and go get it, it won't come to you any other way

I have...1 horse now, had her 17yrs, used to have lots more years ago, but had to cut back!
I enjoy...mostly hacking in the beautiful countryside where i keep my mare

I paid...well my parents paid 650pounds for my mare at auction back in 1992, unbeknown to us she was in foal with a stunning coloured filly foal
My favourite breed ....cobs, I love them

I love..having animals, they are fantastic company
I really want....to earn enough to buy a little place in the countryside one day and keep a couple of horses at home
I should have...been a teacher(so i am told-think i believe them too)
I am good at...eating chocolate!
I wear....a body protector and hi viz every time i ride
I think...sometimes owners attribute too many human concepts to horses and wrap them up in cotton wool too much
My secret weapon....salt water foot baths, magnesium and plenty of high fibre feeds
I think I am - a decent rider, been riding a long time,18years, but i am sure i lack style!!
My addiction...horses, food

My secret confession...I have little interest in schooling, my horse hates going round the school so i dont bother
