Hello all.... just thought I would pop in and say hello. I have been lurking for a while a bit nervous about being taken for a troll or one of those other troublesome types... So thought I would say hello my name is Caroline and I have 3 horses, Harry, Lily and Xas (pronounced zazz). I am extremely old but having had a 25 year break from riding I am a definite novice. Looking forward to soaking up some of the wisdom on here
Hello and welcome! My cousins girlfriend is desperate for a curly bashkir because she has developed a huge allergy to horses despite riding as a child. Can't wait to see pics
welcome, i am an oldie as well and have a nutty 21yr old warmbloodm cross mare....she definately keeps me awake!!!!!! your horses are lovely, what do you do with them?
I am also an oldy on here, but after nearly 48 years of having horses I haven't ever had a break of any sort .. to me having them is as normal as breathing. I currently have a 15hh Gypsy Vanner Cob ...
However, I am always up to learn new things and have found out some good stuff on here!!!
Hi... at the moment with all this snow I am not doing very much at all with my horses... except spending a lot of money on them
Harry belongs to my daughter and as she is soon to go to university & travelling we are trying to find him a lovely home - he has bone spavin so not the easiest but fingers crossed may have found a lovely lady to loan him.
I managed to go hunting (with the East Anglian bloodhounds) for the very first time in my life this season with Lily, but only managed some hound rides and the opening meet, due to a combo of the weather and Lily going lame. We also did a couple of pleasure rides. She is an absolute angel and hopefully some more pleasure rides in store when it is less muddy.
We are training Xas with help from an Intelligent Horsemanship Recommended Associate (RA) - Bridget Hughes. When he is all growed up he should be a general all rounder, fully up to my exacting standards of a bit of Prelim dressage, a 2 ft 6 xc course and some pleasure rides! I had hoped to keep him entire but have come to my senses as I dont have the facilities or the experience so he will be having the snip in the spring. I will be on here for advice on timing and care etc!!
Hi AdorableAlice. Boy do they moult! Their hair is apparently not the same as horsehair but more like mohair and is hypo-allergenic. IT GETS EVERYWHERE!!!
