'Collective sigh'
Ha ha, Hi I've been reading this forum for a while but have found myself in need of some advice and so have joined and posted.......
Here's the problem(S!) -
I bought a pony and got passport with him. When it has come to changing ownership there are a couple of things (registered with weatherbys) -
He is down as entire on passport but has definitely been gelded, I have no idea by who or when though, the owners I got him from said he was gelded before they got him and they never changed his passport into their name either. The pony is a gelding but I have no proof (except lack of the obvious lol), he has also changed colour since the passport was done. He is down as skewbald and has markings on the ID form, but some of the markings have greyed out completely. I also want him microchipped and to change his name (show name not stable) and it would seem that the easiest thing to do would be to apply for a new passport for him but have read horses must only have one passport. Anyone had experience with this or have any advice please?
Also, I have a horse on permanent loan and the owner has given him to me now. He was registered with the sports horse GB society and has a record of equine vaccination and identification document and what appears to be a sports horse GB passport and I also have the change of ownership form for him, signed by the previous owner for him. However I am not registered with them and as he is a pleasure horse, I don't really want to be either. I want him microchipped too and registered in my name but I don't want to pay a fortune for registration just for change of ownership. Again the easiest thing would be to have him a new passport, but can I do that?
Many thanks if anyone has advice
