Hi just joined in hopes of getting advice regarding my newly bought TB mare. Vet is thinking she may be a strangles carrier any advice is greatly appreciated

I have no advice re strangles, other than its highly infectious…
Can live dormant for years in horses. Best getting the test sooner rather than later.
Is she on livery?

No she's at home thankfully tho is kept with my 28yr old cob. We quarantined for 2 weeks when we got her but as she seemed ok we put them together. I think she'd stress badly if we separated them now
