Hi all, after spending much time reading I finally plucked up the courage to post myself.

I’m from the sunny north west

and have 2 girlies- mum and now 3 year old baby, 1 little welsh sec A gelding and another on the way for next year. Great to find a place with like-minded people with stories to share.

Hi all, thanks for the welcome. The little pic is of mum (left) and baby (right) givin her mum a big smooch. I’ll find some better ones soon as. We are expecting an 08 foalie out of mum aka coco after just a bit of stress and confusion. Yey!

Were told at 14 days there was a healthy embryo bobbing around in there, then at 21 days told she had reabsorbed, now yesterday after asking to double check (just knowing my girl to be sneaky) there IS def a baby with a healthy heartbeat there. Phew! Its been a tense few weeks to say the least… horses who’d av em.

Please post some pics of your horses - and tell us more about them! What's the breeding of your mummy and baby?

I know what you mean about how nerve-wracking it all is - waiting for scans and so on. I don't have any mares of my own, but I stand my stallion at stud, and I've had sleepless nights over every one of 'his' mares - so the stud season has been pretty exhausting LOL!

Glad to hear you have a 2008 baby confirmed...........its definately been one of those years on the breeding front this year.............hope 2008 goes more smoothly for everyone!
