Our Hunt have just had their Newcomers week - Question is how many people firstly knew about this week? who went?, did you enjoy it ?and will you be joining the hunt? If you didn't enjoy it why not ..is there anything we can do more to help encourage make the day more enjoyable ?

I didn't know about it, went sat and had an absolute ball - for free as well :) I will be going again, but only when I can extract a meet card out of someone, would have been a good idea to have had some there for the newcomers to take away, surely?
 
The Alliance wrote to all hunts back in June to ask them to participate in Newcomers' Week. Participating hunts were then sent leaflets and posters to help to promote individual meets, backed up by regional press releases by CA head office which were picked up and published up and down the country.

I hope you had fun at your newcomers' meet - I have been to two now, both with huge (70+) turnouts.

We did too have a big turnout with 100+ at the first meet - just wanted to know what we can do to encourage these newcomers to join us and stay to enjoy our sport. What we can do to make the day more enjoyable and is there anything that we can do - such as the suggestion above - meet cards.

We handed out our own little bookets of the rules and what to do's etc. Made all the different staff known and their job description and had 'hunt button' people there to escourt and help out with Q&A.
We just want to make sure that people had a god day and join us !! Thoughts please.
