OK, I'm going out soon, so I'll offer some info. Newdigate is a fairly rural place. There is one small village shop - Bob's. Two pubs - the Surrey Oaks is a CAMRA pub and really good. One Indian Restaurant. It is a socially upmarket place, by which I mean the houses are pretty expensive/smart. There are lots of horses in the village. The roads are reasonably quiet bearing in mind how close we are to Gatwick. The soil is heavy clay so it's not brilliant for turn out. Slightly undulating land, quite a few BP's, some have been surfaced, some are very wet in winter. Close to mega riding in the Surrey Hills, but you have to box a short journey. Lovely village community feel. Hunting with the Surrey Union. There is a BloodHound pack in the village. if you want anything else feel free to PM me. I think it is a lovely place to live.
