anybody use it? What you think of it? Vet has just ordered a tub for me. Hoping it helps dreamers recovery! Thanks in advance

I use it for my old boy. He was on a bute a day after being very stiff in all legs but now is bute free. He's been on it 2 years and will be on it forever now I'd imagine. I can't say for sure its the newmarket thats keeping him sound, but I'm not going to take him off it to see! I stopped it briefly to try pernamax but he went downhill, could be coincidence - who knows.

I've got my boy on Pernamax and also use Corta-Vet powder, both with great success, but I've also heard that Newmarket joint supp is one of the best on the market.

I have just started my mare on this as nothing else seems to make any difference. I am really hoping this will, fingers crossed.
Got first pot today an a little confused there is a small scoop marked 1g taped to the side of it with a label use this scoop not the one inside which is marked 5g. The 1g one is tiny. Which one should I use. Maybe the pot was marked up for a dog originally???. I used the 5g one tonight.

Read the instructions on the side (I'm not meaning to sound patronising here - I just can't remember off the top of my head!!) I think you can feed up to 10g per day to horses. I am pretty sure that the horse that has it at work has 5g per day

I need to feed her 5g a day, just wondered if somehow there had been a mix up with the size of the scoops, as I said the 1g was very small.

sounds like its going to do just the job! Its going through my insurance at the minute, how much is the tub & also how long roughly does it last? Shes a 15.1 ID weighing 486kg

I use on on my horse hun as i said in my pm it has helped her loads.

I feed the reccommended dose of a level scoop a day in her night time feed.

I also find the green liped mussel helps mostly during the summer when the ground is hard to keep inflammtion down in the joint.

People seem to think cartledge injuries are minor and not as bad as tendons etc but thats not always the case as cartledge doesnt regenerate and is repalced by a more fiburious substance that is less effective.

How is your ned after its op?

My horse came home from horspital with a tub of NJS, I used it and then changed onto Cosequin. My boy has been sound ever since and I do not dare stop using it now.

I know, its a serious injury, prob even worse in my eyes then a tendon injury!

Not to bad thanks, she seems to have settled right down & i think shes excepted the fact shes on box rest.
Vet is pleased with leg and is weight baring on it nicely (although the dressing is a great support) shes up for the last time tommorrow to take stiches out dressing off. Then i got to walk her in hand or graze for 5 mins twice a day, which im not looking forward to

Have just ordered the Bioflow boots too.

I got your pm and im sure i replied either that of im going quite mad ( which is quite possible at the mo! )

I feed the NJS and i feed holland and barrett green lipped mussle at 2000mq a day ( 2 caspules in AM and in PM feeds ) if i stp i notice the swelling back in a few days and it then takes a week od being back in it to get the infusuion to settle again ).

GLM is also being used in clinical trials for horses and my vet says so far it being very succsesful.
