News from Zak's breeders

Further to my thread at the weekend Re Lakeside equestrian I have now heard back from my horses breeder. Turns out he was an orphan foal and born premature but he was a fighter and within 24 hours of being born he was in the back of a car on his way to meet his new foster mum. Fast forward a few years and he was backed by a top eventer. Amazing what you found out, I do now think he is even more special having fought against the odds to survive. Can't wait to see his baby pics.

It really was lovely, a bit sad to hear what a difficult life he had to start with but I think the fact he survived being a premature orphan makes him extra special. I was a bit worried they would think I was a complete weirdo, but thankfully they were very pleased to hear from him. Unfortunately as his mother died and the man who owned her has also since passed there is not too much information on his breeding other than she was a sweet chestnut TB (Chestnut Mare ) but still looking forward to pics of him as a little one.
