Some of you may remember that I was desperate about hearing from new owner of our ex-boy and that I had made an "anyone going to Isleham " post ?
Just received this today and so relieved as I had been worried about Loulou being withdrawn from Isleham... What happened to him is typical, always been an escape artist !!!
So here are the news:

"sorry i havent got back to you in such a long time, been so busy trying to get all the horses up and running at the start of the season. loulou is fine! however just before isleham i took him for a dressage lesson and he managed to pull away from where id tied him up afterwards and he decided to take himself cross country schooling (as he would), and he jumped off a wall and didnt realise there was a post and rails behind it so he went through it. luckily hes no worse for wear but he took all the skin of his legs and was a little sore so i decided it was probably best if he didnt run. he is going out this next weekend to do the intermediate at lincolnshire and in a couple of weeks he is doing his first advanced so i am very excited! but hes very cross with me at the moment because i went to oasby eventing yesterday and i didnt take him, so hes sulking! hope your well, will try and get some photos of him to you soon, took some just the other day so will see what i can do! but i cant promise anything as im rather rushed off my feet. but will definately keep you informed of his progress!
lots of love k xxxx"

He sounds like a real character. I'm at Lincolnshire doing the intermediate if you want me to report back. PM me his name and rider and I'll look out for them.

Ha ha - that was fairly amusing to read - silly sod honestly!! Is he part pony to have such a sense of humour/trouble? You must be absolutely delighted to hear he is well! Hears to a good season for him!

He really IS a silly boy but no, no pony in him he's pure SF

but has always done this, jumping fences when turned out to join other horses, opening his box door, untying himself, etc...Just a very smart horsey

Got himself into trouble many times, hurt himself a couple oftimes but solid as a rock he is, silly bugger

Present British owner told me that everyone knows him on comp grounds as he regularly puts on his escapist act at events

I know, Lou...After competing at Blair and just before loading to go home, he escaped and took off galloping across the XC

so much for everyone thinking he was a very tired horse from running his first 2*

The kind of horse you can't forget
