A small corner of Wales was brought to a standstill earlier today when an Angel suddenly appeared in the dressage arena at Amman Valley Pony Club.
Spectators said the stunning coloured mare and her young lady rider walked calmly into the arena at exactly 10.40 GMT and proceeded to execute an almost faultless Walk and Trot test.
Our reporter later spoke with the rider (Clare) who said that even though Angel was 12 yrs old, she had only been backed 7 weeks ago and this was their first ever dressage test. Even more surprising, the horse had been rescued and had almost been pts due to her terrible ragwort poisoning. Angel and Clare came first scoring a mind blowing 65% for their test.
However, spectators advise that the event was marred by a mad-looking, harrassed and dishevelled woman in an Operation Esther sweatshirt who pursued horse and rider relentlessy round the grounds waving mane and tail detangler, leather boot wipes, bacon rolls, polos and Valium. She was clearly deranged and was heard shrieking things like "keep your leg on" and "smile at the judge" and "she'll drift away from the B side". Pitifully, she burst into tears at the end of the test and again when the results were announced.
Some said she seemed as mad as a Box of Frogs.
