I just wondered if all hunts have a beginners hunt as I want to take a youngster with me next season but I am not sure if all hunts do them?

I'm not sure, but if not i'd go autumn hunting. It's quite slow and gives them a chance to take everything in at a steady pace. Tends not to be much or any jumping either.

I would personally go for autum hunting rather than a newcomers day as they can be very crowded!
As Lanim said autum hunting is much steady & better for a young horse IMHO!

Is that a young horse or a young person?? If it is the former then have a word with the secretary as they will be able to arrange a buddy to keep your youngster company. If it is the latter most hunts will have a children's meet arranged with the Pony Club, we organise one autumn hunting meet and one main season meet - during the October half term and the Christmas holidays to act as an intro to hunting.
