Tacked up Ollie and Tweenie today, sun was shining and only fluffy white clouds in the sky.

We got ten minutes down the road and the heavens opened! There was a river running down the side of the lane. We only stayed out for half an hour as the horses were getting a bit tense riding in such driving rain.

As we walked back into the farm yard, it went off to a mild drizzle but the dryish farm yard was turned into a mass of puddles. We've since had rain, shine, torrential rain, thunder.

Very wet ponios....

Get them out there! Not much chance of shine at the moment, if you wait for it to stop raining they'll never go.

Nah...not cruel, just practical.

They'd not been ridden since Thursday. I'd rather get wet than give them any more days off. Fields are like a flood plain too so they're not going out today either.

Very soggy looking - but cute.

I am confined to the indoor school - just cannot face cleaning loads of wet tack the western saddle takes ages to dry as it is suede on top and the saddle pad is over 2" thick.

Roll on summer.....
