NHS track and trace scam

So I received this text yesterday...

NHS-UK Health Department: We have been notified you have been in close contact with a confirmed Omicron case. You must book a PCR test kit swab-test-trace.com

As track and trace was disbanded on 30 March this must be a scam?
There should be a special place in hell for the sort of scum who try to exploit the anxious and vulnerable in this way.
Anyone else been on the receiving end of this con?

I haven’t but I hope the scum perpetrators are found and dealt with harshly.

Had a scam email about Covid passports a while back which I forwarded to the email fraud department in HM Govt.

Snap I have also had the texts but realised they were not right. You have to question everything nowadays which is very sad.

I ignore most messages I get now as it’s getting ridiculous with the amount of scams. They can ring me and leave a message or write to me if it’s that’s important.

Had one a couple of weeks ago telling me I'd been in close contact with someone who'd tested positive and a link to get a pcr test. Initial reaction was oh **** then realised it was a,scam.

Put their telephone number on a free ads site and advertise free puppies/kittens to a good home.
