My native* currently has a v-shaped browband with a few diamantès in that I picked up in a sale somewhere a few years back, but it's seen better days I have to be honest.

I'm now on the look out for a new browband (nothing improves dressage scores like bling right?! :D ) - it doesn't have to be diamantè as I've seen beaded, pearls and they all look nice. It does need to be full size and ideally in havanah though as I have brown tack.

There seems to be so many about, I don't know where to start looking ... so if anyone could point me in the direction of nice browbands, it would be much appreciated?

*Disclaimer: I know my native shouldn't *technically* wear bling, but we don't show and it's winter & I feel that a new posh browband might just inspire me when I'm tired & fed up of the rubbish weather!

Another vote for Equiture - mine has been in daily use for nearly 4 years and looks almost new apart from 2 missing crystals (naughty horse rubbing forehead on haynet!). I'm planning to get another soon :). Mine is one of the 'megabling' with mini pearls.

To buck the above trend, I much prefer pearly ponies over equiture for cost vs quality.

Though I now just make my own, it’s quite easy if fiddly:).

I can recommend someone who is really good and quite young 14 years old but starting her own company in bling dog collars and brow bands

I second Bespoke Browbands. They have made a number of things for me. Beautiful leather, well made and you can design your own browband.
Can't say enough good things about them.

Be care full with equiture if your horse has a long forelock.

I bought one for my arab (it was stunning and looked stunning on), but every time I used it bot of his forelock got stuck in it, so sold it and went back to the recessed type.

Caldene do some really nice ones at the moment.

That's strange, My mare has a very full forelock and I've never had a problem even with the mega bling. At least you managed to sell it ok. :) x

for a little opposition to bling i have a schockemhole rolled one one my bridle and we get compliments everywhere we go. got it from hope valley and it came up large so has nicely dropped into a flattering u shape.

Another vote for Bespoke Browbands. You can choose pretty much any colour combination you like and the quality is fab. They last really well and look gorgeous.

Thanks for all your suggestions everyone :)

I'll check them out, although I don't think I've got the creative flair or know how to make own, but I admire anyone that does!

I've also used bex's browbands for a friend, as we didn't want to go full bling so we could use it eventing :), friend had made noises about a brass clencher and I reckoned we could do better ;) she did a few mock ups for me and was very patient, this is the combo we had in the end (I never took a pic of the browband!)

I have an Equiture one, had it custom made as I have a native and didn't want anything to blingy. It's lovely and well made, I keep it in the bag in the house between uses as only wear it for dressage. X
