Can anyone recommend some consistently good quality, reliable hay (small bales unless super reliable at short notice) suppliers who would deliver to Prescot area, please? Had some disappointing stuff the last couple of times. Thanks.

Not exactly what you are after, but I have been using Forest Fold haylage this winter and like it a lot. It is farm produced in Wigan, and is a very dry haylage with almost no moisture, so it doesn't go sour. The haylage smells just like new mown hay and is a meadow mix. Your feed store should be able to order it in.
