My Dad has told me my mares current stable rug looks like a mini skirt due to her large baby belly and that she deserves a new rug (current one is 10yrs old and still going strong however is not very deep so worked well when she was eventing but not now)

She's a bit of a pansy so likes to be tucked up at night time in her rug, want something to fit nicely round the shoulders and to be relatively cosy

Any suggestions??

FAL, every time. big and roomy, wonderfully warm, last for years.
although, tbh, i don't think i ever rugged up my mares when they were in foal, cos i thought they might get hot flushes like pregnant women! ad lib hay and shelter/stable seemed to be enough, i didn't want to worry about them being all hot and bothered! *anthropomorphises to the nth degree*

I looked at FAL but wasnt sure of the weights they do, she only needs something light. I'll take a look on the website though as they always looked a nice fit

The amigo also looks nice too

And I wish I could leave her, but she is the biggest drip, shivers as soon as we have a frost and thought going out on holiday after a season eventing was hell on earth! Never seen a horse love their stable as much as she does. Even when you are mucking out and she wanders round the yard, she stands at the door waiting for you to move so she can get in!!

Slumberdown one (FAL's cheap version) is klovely and very roomy for preggie belly.

I've had it 5 years I think now and it's still like new - purple one
