Tigger&me

Hello everyone,
a few weeks ago some of you may remember I introduced my new horse Tigger she’s a lovely little thoroughbred who has settled into her new life really well. I couldn’t be happier with her.
yesterday however, Tigger decided that life in Norfolk wasn’t quite exciting enough. Around 2pm I got a call from my yard owner telling me Tigger was stuck in a dyke. Of course I was instantly in panic mode and practically flew to the yard imagining the worse...
I did not expect it to be as bad as it was....
3 fire engine, 2 JCB’s, the vet (obviously) a specialist animal rescue crew and about 20 helpers.
it took just under 3 hours to free Tigger and I have to say she was an absolute superstar. Me on the other hand, I was useless, in a huge panic and just getting in the way!
24 hours later, Tigger is still very subdued and not herself, she has about 20 stitches in her leg, is on anti for the infection in her leg, Bute for the pain and of course a long period of box rest.
but thankfully she’s okay.
