I'm thinking of buying a 2005 Nissan Patrol - it's a 3.0 seven seater. Does anyone have any experience of them - good or bad. We regularly tow 2 horses but I also would be using it on a day to day basis for getting to work etc. One thing I'm worrying about is could I find parking spaces for it - it's so big and if if I did could I actually reverse park it!!
Thanks

My brother has one. We havent towed a horse trailer with it so have no comments for that but personally I dont like it. Its a massive tank of a thing that guzzles fuel. His is V reg and he's had to spend quite a bit on it since getting it.

I've got an 05 plate Kia Sorento sport which is awesome. I use it to go to work and to tow trailers. Its not too bad fuel wise for a 4x4. Got me through the bad snow no problems aswell.

They are a great vehicle very strong they and the toyota landcruiser are used in parts of the world when only the toughest and most reliable will do... places like the austrailan desert, war zones and for the UN ..sadly the ones we get only have a small 3 ltr engine that has to work hard to pull a big car along so not very economical. I have a friend with one he tows alot with it and its been 100% reliable now done over 200,000 miles... highly recomended if you have a economical car as well or you dont need to do a big weekly mileage..

Thanks for the feedback - this one is 2005 and has sat nav, air con, leather seats etc - haven't looked at anything else yet as it is coming from the guy I have bought my last few jeeps from. It has 60000 on the clock - I don't do huge mileage weekly but quite often tow quite long distances at the weekends. Hmmmm - I'm tempted but not sure

my dad used one when i was younger for towing but an older one than that - yes its a big tank but was a great vehicle! not very pretty but v effective!
not the most economical thing for every day though!!!
(basically agree with perfect11s!)
