Nissan Terrano towing

In the next coouple of months I am going to sit my trailer test and once I have got it I'm wanting a vehicle that is able to tow, ideally an Ifor Williams 510 (or similar).

I have been looking at a few options and one I saw was a Nissan Terrano and just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these and if they are any good?

And if anyone has any other suggestions I'm more than happy. I have a fairly limited budget but would be glad to hear what people think :)

Towed with a Terrano for years never had any problems in fact I want to buy another one!!! As said previously make sure you go for long wheel base they are fantastic cars never break down and easy to manouvere:)
 
I am looking for one at the moment I had a 2.7TDI SW and pulled an ifor with horse in up and down some nasty hills and I had to keep looking in rear view to make sure it was still attched :D
they are awsome for towing with I can't wait to get another one...seen a commercial one on Ebay.
 
Thank you for all the help, from what everyone is saying I'm really keen on one now and I think its what I'm going to try and get :)

I know this is more a car question that horse, alot of the ones in my price have a higher mileage, are these ok or should I try stay clear of those ones?

Love ours (LWB) and son's SWB is just as good at towing too. We found ours on Autotrader, 04 model, done just 37000 and was just over £5000; only thing I'd change on it would be leather seats, I miss the ones we had before.
 
If they are diesel engines you don't need to worry about the mileage, they go forever! We have the Maverick (same as Terrano) with 194k on clock and can only echo what everyone else has said, brilliant car, brilliant for towing, love it!!
