This is it before we started box rest

and this is it now.

It's the big fat one on the right we're looking at btw

Personally I think it is unchanged but just thought I'd get a few more eyes to look as I keep confidently telling the vet 'no change' but perhaps I'm being blind.

it might be slightly less filled.. hard to tell in the light ,though.

Does it feel the less tight?

Nope. It is still as hard as rock. Stupid creature!

I think looking at the photos it is just as big but the profile might look a bit different. Back to the horespital we go! :D

Very hard to tell in the light, but look at the two pics in a straight level with the chestnut, I would say that it is less filled there.

It is indeed a suspected kick. I think there is some more definition but this is two months after it happened so I think probably not enough to avoid surgery.

there is a foreign body/bone fragment in there. Just massive wishful thinking that it might heal of its own accord but I fear not. We have one more week of box rest and then it's D day!

Very similar injury to a horse who I used to know, she had a kick to her hock and had a bone chip floating round in there. Hope your horse is ok bless her.x
