I have confidence hacking out issues that I am struggling to overcome. I have tried all the NLP confidence type books and considering having therapy. Do you believe it works or would I be better off spending money on extra lessons and stuff.
Fine riding at home but cannot hack out. Also cannot make plans to ride even in school as wake up feeling really nervous. i have to go to yard believing just to groom then tack up and go ...

Yes it works. Google Jo Cooper and TFT...contact Jo. She's absolutely brilliant, really helped with my jumping nerves. I went from refusing to go in the school if there were poles even in there to jumping 2ft9 HT courses and 3ft SJing rounds.

Sounds good, what exactly does it do and are you allowd to give me an idea of cost. I must admit I tried a chap using some NLP technique which involved visualisation techniques, was ok but did not feel like it changed me. Did not want to waste more money. I know it sounds tight but am really on bugdet.

When i was terrified of even getting on my horse, i got the Paul Mckenna (sp) confidence CD, don't know if it worked like it should have done, or if it was just phsycological (you know.... i've listened so i feel better, kinda thing)
But i got on and off i went, never looked back.
Might be worth a try before you shell out loads of money

Would you believe I have tried it. Love his voice, very droney and sends me to sleep.
Never worked though!! I wonder if I am a lost case?

Jo, who does NLP and TFT, did wonders for me after a couple of nasty accidents left me with various hang-ups about riding and a true phobia of cantering! Oddly enough, she mentioned recently that she is thinking about doing an NLP clinic for riders

Her website is www.jo-cooper.com

Good luck with it
