Just a musing.....as lots of the shops use the same factories, and a lot of factories use the same processes, how many more if these stories do we think will come out?
Who'll be next?

Should we make up a sweepstakes?

I'm having a pound on camel hump being found in Asda meat pie. Who'll raise me some donkey ears?

:D

Nooooooo :(

I was told by friends, and corroberated by my sister's dad when i was around 7?, that corned beef was made of horse..

I'm 33 soon and can't even think about it without gagging, lol..

If it is advertised, regulated and marketed properly, and the equines live, travel and are despatched with due care and minimal upset, I don't think anyone can really complain given that humans eat almost anything that moves.. Even other humans in some places.. Kuru anyone?

It's all about INFORMED and regulated choice..

I rarely eat meat or fish personally and would never knowingly eat lamb or equine, but that doesn't mean nobody else shouldn't..

A whole nation of food lovers is doomed if horse tastes better than bacon!

I was wondering whether they could check any of the dna found against the wetherbys register? Might awaken a few tb breeders! anyway the beef is often zebu meat, does it count as a true cow when it has a hump?

TBH with the number of farmers round here who have fields and mountains full of emaciated coloured cobs destined for the meat market, it was fairly obvious they weren't all being shipped over the the continent, so where did everyone think they were ending up

I am reliably informed that Shergar is in fact in a bog just up the road.

NicNac - that's too clever for me before my afternoon cuppa :(

Is there anything humans won't eat though??!

My mum's chap was gobsmacked that my cats were eating pilfered raw meat the other day though.. Really?? You won't see me oven baking or grilling anything they bring in..........

My Mum always said burgers were made from snotters and trotters, I think she was on the ball with that statement. Though my other half says all processed meat products are made from whole meat mainly eyeholes, earholes and ar$eholes! yummy:eek:

Savaloys!!! That's the best, massive percentage of ground up chicken skin with a few pigs ar$eholes and other 'waste' meat thrown in.
