From FB. Hopefully back for 2026 .
The disruption caused by the weather to the Chatsworth International Horse Trials in 2024 and 2023 has been a huge disappointment for everyone involved. Although our teams worked tirelessly to enable the events to run as planned, sadly this was not possible and we apologise for the frustration and inconvenience caused.
We have therefore been considering the best course of action to reduce the potential impact of weather on the event. Like our competitors, visitors, traders and support teams, we want the event to proceed as planned, in a safe and enjoyable manner; we have been in talks with British Eventing about the possibility of moving the event to slightly later in the year. While this does not entirely remove the possibility of bad weather, it does reduce the likelihood, and we believe it is the best course of action. British Eventing has been incredibly supportive of our proposals, however we have agreed that as the 2025 schedule planning is already well underway, moving the date of our event in 2025 is not logistically feasible. We have therefore taken the difficult decision to not hold the Chatsworth International Horse Trials in 2025, and work towards a rescheduled event in 2026. While we appreciate that this will cause some disappointment, we believe it is the right decision, and in the best interest of all those who have made the event such a success.
We will share further updates when they are available.
