No emotion

I've sold my horse and he goes on Saturday, but i still feel nothing, its so strange i love him dearly but i seem to feel numb no emotion about the whole thing its really weird. Has anyone else felt like this, i thought i would have been a wreck to have to part with him x
 
I was similar when I sold my youngster last year. For me that hardest part was making the decision to sell but once I had decided to I was able to keep my emotions in check.
 
I've never been "heartbroken" when I've sold them. I'm sad and I miss them but I think once I've made the decision to sell, I start to emotionally detach so by the time they go I can be rational and not dissolve into a weeping blob on the floor. I've been lucky in that I've only sold a couple where I haven't kept in touch with the new owners. Some of us have become firm friends too so it is nice to be able to see progress reports and updates.
