No grazing!

My neighbor doesn't have any grazing, plus my horses have shoes so she doesn't want them churning up her fields. She's offered me a barn though for a couple of days if I need it.

So it looks like I'm going to be looking at a livery yard really. Cheapest one I can find that is close (so far) is £54 a week for both of them. So I've rung work and agreed to work six days a week.

I don't know what else to do. I really can't afford a livery yard so close to the wedding.

Hello I have a wet field and one big advantage is that the 'wetness' means that the field will be lovely and smooth once it drains and all the ruts and churned up bits will be gone. I rent a field for winter which drains brilliantly but come summer when the ground bakes hard it is very rutted and i like taking them to my field which is like a bowling green. much less stress on the horses joints. Hope it drains soon for you.

Thanks frankie41, I don't think it'll be ready to be grazed until april the way it looks now. It'll need time to recover after the flooding has gone down.

My neighbor has agreed to give J a home for awhile until I'm sorted so now I have to find a place for H. Think it'll have to be a livery yard which is not affordable at all atm.
