I enjoy the Channel 4 coverage, but it will be a pity when Claire Balding isn't commenting on the racing in future, at least she knows what she is talking about. I wonder what will happen to the rest of the BBC's racing team?

I don't know much about this but I think on the whole it's a good thing as I think the CH4 team at least seem to have a good relationship with a lot of trainers and others in the business so are abit more clued up. The BBC only televise the likes of the Gold Cup and the National so it's no great loss and maybe the CH4 coverage of these will be better?

Nothing to stop Clare Balding joining the CH4 team anyway, she was after all presenting Crufts on More 4.

I used to love the Clare Balding and Willie Carson duo, but felt the Grand National coverage, with a commentator at every fence was ridiculous, took away from the race itself. Otherwise C4 have the job sorted, though I hate those stupid quizzes and fantasy bets on The Morning Line.
Searching through the BBC website, Horse Racing, I don't find anything about stopping racing coverage.

I agree - she was brilliant commentating on the Grand National - although of course she may still do it, just for C4.
