no one wanting to help a novice

Could you be having a bit of a laugh with the forum users, *bought this horse for my girlfriend then found her with the farrier" sorry but this sounds a bit Jilly Cooper to me!!! If not, I apologise and suggest you take this horse to the nearest vet, for its sake and yours.

Ok - hi.
It sounds like you have had some bad luck in your life recently.

What breed is your stallion?

When I lived at home as a teenager with my parents (both horsey, my father worked with horses and my mother had been owning/riding most of her life) we had a colt who we tried to keep entire. Even with my parents long standing experience with horses we did struggle with him and ended up having him gelded at about 3 years old. He was extremely hard to handle when anyone rode past our place with a mare who was in season. And it was a horsey area... he kept jumping out of his field and ending up in other people's fields in the next village etc. We got fed up of phone calls saying "I have got your horse again... it wants to be with my mare" and obviously it was unsustainable and unfair on everyone else to keep him entire so he was gelded.

Im really worried that you seem to be a novice owner and I would hate to see you run in to serious problems, get hurt, or end up getting in trouble with the owner of a mare who your stallion gets in foal or something.

Is he kept on his own?

oh, Ok - just read everyone elses replies - you think its a troll post.

You know whats sad? I know so many clueless horse owners who really would do something like that I actually think this might be a real post. I have seen enough "bought a market pony for my little 6 year old girl to break in" situations recently to believe anything.

Gosh, so many replies on a Troll thread. Well, assuming this is a Troll thread, and not at all genuine.

Could, in fact, believe this is real... there are some people out there doing this type of things! But the girlfriend cheating with farrier thing does make me ponder and think it actually is a troll. Like what... where they caught in the act in the hay barn, lol.
