Anyone else having problems finding someone? Wee pops a safe hacking pony does RDA goes alone and in company, sharer can have what ever days they want and only looking for a contribution towards towards farrier.....would of been my ideal situation when i was younger :-( why does no one want to ride her

What sort of area are you?

Where have you advertised? Maybe you need to think outside the box? As in rather than try feed stores where only people who already have horses shop, try local post office etc.

Have you tried PC website? Although again I suspect you only find out about that once you have a pony.

Try facebook groups for your area, preloved etc. would have been the ideal situation for me too!

I'm in same position, can't find anyone for my fantastic 13.3 nf pony - does elem dressage, jumps 3ft

That was my first port of call cause word spreads fast and especially since they know poppy so well

When we wanted someone we put an add up in all the tack/feed/pet shops. Some supermarkes also have adds. We never had a problem finding someone. Hubby wants someone to ride his shire x but after we had a shocking experience with the sharer from hell, i now refuse to have anyone else share any of them.

But yes my pony does everything and also feels like a 16.2 when you ride him, but still no one interested. So now I'm just going to keep him all to myself

If you have a good uni near you try them too. A lot of the students will be moving away from home leaving their horses behind and for little contribution but still being able to ride you might get more than a few snap your hands off.

I tried for ages to get a sharer with no luck. Then I tried advertising for help with ponies. Several applicants were interested in riding and I now have a sharer. I just needed to apply some lateral thinking! Sharing doesn't occur to a lot of people so they browse part time jobs with horses.

I got a sharer though advertising on ' Preloved ' - do you have a local riding school nearby - perhaps someone there is looking for a pony and didn't realise you could share??
