Particularly on FB. Seems vendors will put great ads and photos up but often don't bother with a price or location.

Please do! I have stopped bothering messaging now..it must waste time answering the same query, even prices "in the region of" would help.

Was secretly excited about a horse I found, only turns out he was £20k. Way out of my price range so wish I hadn't bothered with my enquiry!

I completely agree with you, its driving me nuts. Its bad enough that you read through an ad that sounds perfect and its well out of your budget but at least you know. I can't understand how it can't be annoying for the seller to keep getting loads of messages asking how much only to for people to go 'out of my budget'. I've done it a few times but really if there is no price I don't bother to ask as I assume I can't afford it.
Even a rough guide would help or 'over ..k' on the ad would help. So furstrating.

It's very silly. There's a horse up here for sale and the start of the ad is all the claptrap about time wasters etc etc yet he doesn't put a price on the horse which is the biggest waste of time ever!

Thank god it's not just me that's annoyed by this. I can't understand why people don't put the price on ads, it must be a pain having to reply to all the how much posts. Also the location, drives me nuts.

Yes and height. Surely those are key points to include.

Especially amusing when they start with "I can't understand why this horse is still for sale" errrr

I hate the ones that say "Tentatively for sale" or similar. It's either for sale or not.

And the £x,xxx or offers ABOVE. Who makes an initial offer above the asking price?

i never put prices, quite possible the one you asked about was mine! (sorry if it was) I produce young horses and their value changes quickly so I never put them else you get people moaning it was X price last month etc. I dont mind messages and calls to discuss money though

I wouldn't bother if it has no price on it waste of an advert. The best ones are on fb pm for price can't be bothered as they are overpriced so don't put one on.

Similar to those selling horseboxes - they show photos of the horse section, witter on for ages about the nice bits in horse section.
No mention of test, mileage etc - and get humpy if you ask anything about the running gear of the lorry, let alone the unladen weight!

My pet hate is ads that start with 'Just putting the feelers outs...'. No you're not, you're advertising your horse for sale, it's ok to say so!

It my pet hate too, I run a selling site on FB (for horses in Spain) and I dont approve any adverts without a price and location, Ive had people try to post a photo of a horse and just put 'horse for sale' or saddle for sale, no size, price, its not really rocket science to add the details

But favorite ad and one that was well and truly above and beyond...all basic info you need ...and then the video. Not only did they show the money shots we all want to see but then showed horse being tacked, untacked loaded, unloaded legs picked up and then ridden down a busy road. Lot of effort but brilliant!

But am ignoring anything that finishes with "will only be sold to a 5* home". One would assume that is a general request for most vendors, but I am looking to buy a horse, not be grateful for the privilege of allowing you to part me with my money!

I also wonder at the 'homes will be vetted'. If you believe the ads, there're a lot of sellers wandering around prospective purchasers yards, I've just not come across any in real life. Nor do I know any one who's been asked for a reference from their trainer/vet/farrier/edt or livery yard owner before being allowed to hand over their hard earned.

Oooh yes this really winds me up. Why can people not put age, height, location and price in an advert rather than a load of wool about how they'd let their disabled granny/3-legged dog on it and btw it jumped 4' once?! I have no objections to the wool in ADDITION to the key information, but leaving it out just seems odd.
