I have been moaning loads about the zero riding I have been doing but come the spring I am ment to be riding between 5 to 8 a day. Four of my own two which need breaking, two for a livery (racehorses to retrain), a young event horse I am exercising for someone and a advanced event horse who I have said I would do the fittening work on (luckily she goes away to professionals yard end of March aslong as she ready- so that should bring it back to 7 - phew

).

I have just sort of been going along thinking it will be fine but hadnt really been counting how many i'd agreed to do. I am now feeling rather overwhelmed, i'm used to doing about 4 but am just struggling to see how im going to fit this in and run my yard and have some sort of a social life...maybe give up sleeping??? I really need the money too so feel like I cant refuse work.

So please if there are people out there who do this (im sure there are) could you let me know so I know its do able and could you please, please, please give me some advise on how to do it.

work out your training programme for all and then work it backwards as to who needs what and when! though maybe I would put off backing the youngsters till the advanced horse has left...!

You have to prioritise the paying ones, leave the breakers till you have more daylight and the adv horse has gone.

Give yourself a realistic daily timetable and stick to it

also from my experience, you'll be too tired for a social life, so be prepared to put it on hold for a bit - but then you'll have enough money to go out!

thanks guys - yeah think im definately going to have to leave the youngsters until the advanced horse has gone and except that I am going to have to become a hermit :-). Im sure ill just have to get organised and get on with it.
