No stopping him now

Following on from my post yesterday we took my son for a short hack this evening in the fields near our yard and he had 4 short canters!!! My friends came as well to give him a bit of security as they walked a short distance away across the field and Nath cantered Pete towards them. Pete was his usual fantastic self and did everything Nathan asked him to do. I think we might be fighting over him soon

awww bless him thats great he's doing really well,i said to him yesturday he can ride earl next ! then he went over and said hi to him,your a proud mum now then,he can come out for a hack with me and the big man soon then

Am really proud of him, he's done so well considering how nervous he was.

And you really are gonna have to fight him (and me!) to ride your fabulous pony!

Yeah he did do well!! I thought he looked a bit pale actually but after the first canter his grin spoke volumes

You'd better buy yourself a good pair of walking boots now then, you won't be needing riding boots anymore. I know that feeling well. I go on some lovely hacks at the weekend, all on foot mind, oh for the money to buy two ponies for greedy daughters who never let mum ride. Well done to Nath though, he's got the taste for it now then. And well done to Pete for looking after him.

Yes he's definately got the taste for it!!

. I'm sure he'll share Pete with me though, he said last night he didn't want to take over as Pete is my horse but I'm quite happy to go for a walk out with him across the fields. Just glad that he's finally got up the courage to canter and he so enjoyed it
