Having a year without loosing someone or something close. Every year for the past four years we have lost at least 2 loved ones including 3 horse's - 2 dog's - 4 cat's - 1 donkey, my father, so maybe 2017 breaks the cycle.

But no One of our favourite livery horses 35 was pts this morning - it's been a long morning all of us and kind help from next door trying and trying to get him up with the vet. I am tired only just finished work, I feel drained emotionally too, we only just coming to terms with loosing a livery in October to colic.

It was his time:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

I already hate 2017 too.

I lost my MIL at New Year and I have to face the truth that my home bred pony has too many issues to have a happy comfortable life.

I try to comfort myself with something I was told years ago.....

"Do the best for those you care for in life and in death"

Sending hugs.

I also despise 2017 so far after I lost my grandad only a few weeks ago who brought me up along with my nan! I'm sorry to hear of the passing of your favourite livery horse and hopefully it'll pick up for you

Thank you - he has been part of this yard (as his girlfriend has) 12 years, it was such a shock to find him like this this morning even though we knew he was on borrowed time. They are such wonderful creatures and we take for granted they are with us a long time, but that is not always the case.
