I have a maiden mare at 350 days ,with all signs of
impending foaling but no bagging up at all .
Hasnt been on fescue so I cant see it is fescue poisoning .
Has anybody had the same problem with their mare ?
Did the milk come in with the foal ?
or do I need to get the vet to give her something to
stimulate her milk ?

350 days, not so bad, only 10 days 'overdue' they come when they are cooked.

I had a QH maiden last year that gave me no signs whatsoever, 11pm check stuffing her face as usual, no bag, no stress, no nothing. 2 am check milk gushing everywhere and down foaling.

The milk will come in with the foal, if it doesn't then is the time to get the Vet in. Just in case the milk doesn't come in, have you got some Jump Start? I give it anyway it gives them a boost and does no harm so my Vet says and as his word is gospel as far as I am concerned I am happy with that.

You are in Canada aren't you? Feed stores should stock it. Do you have TSC?

Wishing you Good Luck when things start happening, hopefully sooner rather than later.

My maiden mare did not really develop any udder til a few days before foaling on day 358. Don't worry I'm sure it will be fine.
Best of luck and let us know what happens!

my mare is 347 today and not much udder but all the other signs just waiting and waiting.
getting very tired now

Sorry to sound dense what is Fescue poisoning?

Just an update for all those out there with Unco-operative
maiden mares.
I spoke to 2 vets both unconcerned ,I was told a "watched
pot never boils " helpfull !!!
and that more than likely it will come just before the foal or shortly after and that 352 days wasnt uncommon .
But it would be a good idea to have some colostrum available ,just in case .
One of the vets put me in touch with a guy that breeds
clydesdales and has a supply of frozen colostrum,
not only did the guy say he had some available but he would drive half way to meet me and wouldn't accept payment
for the colostrum or for his fuel. What a nice man !!
So I feel a whole lot better with a plan ,just incase that
unco-operative mare of mine pulls a fast one !!!

And as ever ,hopeful tonight will be the night ,

Huskimo, Jenny, any news?

Jenny, just out of curiosity I looked up where you were, this is what Map Quest told me it would take from Ontario! The sheer size of this country always amazes me.

Estimated Time of journey: 27 hours 29 minutes Estimated Distance: 1611.25 miles

Nothing yet .
We moved here from Devon , UK .
y husband took the GReyhound from Ontario to here
it took 2 days /night s of travelling .

My mare came too so when I first took her out on a trailride ,it was amazing because there was wide open space with no hedges and no barriers .She just stood there
quivering .We have met coyotes ,a wolf and momma bears and cubs.

But no pub rides !!

no pub rides!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg lol

We are tthinking f canada too but never had the guts to do it! love to though and will do one day!!!
