For a bit fun....it's Monday and it's dragging on

What horsey gift, if someone was to buy you one, be it an item of clothing or a peice of equipment for yourself or for your horse would you be too embarassed to wear/use? :D or get the ripped into by your fellow liveries for using? ...oh and your reasons please.

KP Equestrian Clothing range excluded, we need some variety in your replies. :D

My brother (bless him!) gave me some mens XXL sized flurescent orange polo shirts. Err, great idea thanks bruv but I'd really rather not look like a tarmac-layer in drag :D - I'll stick to my fitted reflective waistcoat ta muchly!

Any of that flourescent pink hi viz stuff. Im an old fashioned horse rider, the only hi viz ever going near my horses will be the standard yellow :D

I also dont do "bling" on the horses, but then my dog has a blinging collar so maybe i would be swayed by a tasteful bling browband or something...

Snuggy jams with the leopard print, or sheep..too embarrassing for words. Owners should be banned from putting horses and ponies through such humilation.

I bought a pink numna at Burghley yesterday and so far, everyone who has seen it has said what a poor boy my horse is! Someone even suggested it would turn him gay! :)

pink floofy half pad/numnah etc

sparklies - anything diamonte afflicted is out

any brightly coloured/rainbow/spotty/print patterned rugs

I bought my mare a baby pink fleece neck cover with white polka dots - think it looks fab but not to everyones taste! :D
I don't like patent leather

Anything diamante! Might be passable on a dressage diva, but just not on my carthoss! :p Doesn't stop her wearing a John Whittaker headcollar though

We do have one of those England flag rugs though cos we are english and proud.... haven't had the nerve to wear it anywhere though, for fear of being associated with footballers!

any of the england flag rugs.

in 2006 when england were playing in the football world cup i got an england flag & made it into an exercise sheet for my pony. but that was cool 'cos i made it myself :D

i refused to have anything pink for him though as he was a boy & had to stay that way

Last year my dad went on a day trip to London and came back with a union jack winter hat with attached union jack fluffy earmuffs....for "mucking out in the winter". No thanks! Even though only my horse would see me I will still never wear them!

Also anything diamante, I don't even like the brow bands...they look very "Claire's Accessories" to me!

I compete a horse for a friend of my mum's, and my sister was horrified when we last competed and she spotted that the horse was wearing a brand new pair of pink over reach boots!! Must admit it's not to my taste and I won't be kitting my girl out in similar, but didn't object to competing while the horse was wearing them! :D

I have no shame when it comes to what i wear to ride/muck out in. I often look like a human jumble sale. Its only embarrassing when i realise that i have to go outside into the real world.......namely sainsburys or tesco afterwards..........!

A High Vis tabard I was given at a yard with 'Does My Bum Look Big On This?' printed on the back.... I was coerced into wearing it once out hacking my husband's very broad cob, but has never seen the light of day again!

Those awful cross country kits with matching silk, jumper and numnah - normally seen with matching boots or at least two differently coloured rows of tape holding them on .

Actually,I don't really wear anything other that black brown or white numnah, black boots and plain leather. I'm not even that keen on raised nosebands and browbands but it's so hard to find plain ones these days.

XC I wear a plain navy top, horse wears his normal brown/black numnah. SJ I'll wear my traditional navy jacket, none of these new show jumping coat things. White numnah only comes out for dressage.

I do have one pair of a sort of dusky lilac jods though, they were cheap:p.
