No we do not "blindfold" our horse...

Nothing "weird" as such but I do remember a teenager in the village that I used to hack through when I was a kid used to always call my horse a clydesdale, I was riding a 14.2hh anglo arab at the time... but I didnt want to embarass him in front of his friends.
 
One thing that gets on my nerves is that I live in an area where hi-viz awareness is still quite unpopular. So I frequently get pointed and even laughed at not only by drivers and walkers, but also by other riders, when I hack out, my boy and myself all shining far and about in our hi-viz gear. Oh well, I can only hope that I will spread the trend, especially, as the dark autumn evenings approach!

I'd rather be lit up like a Christmas tree and look UNTRENDY than risk my girl or my own life so I wouldn't worry :) my girl and me regularly light up the streets of our suburban Surrey town in pink hi-viz gear and get odd looks and sniggers thrown our way. It'll catch on...one day!

Bit different down here - if my dark bay pony is wearing her pink hi-viz people stop and comment very positively on it (it helps that she is very very pretty perhaps)
