I found one of these on Adrian today :-( It is maybe the size of a medium Brussels sprout. It is in a place where if it grows much bigger, it will rub on his leg when he walks.

Obv it will be a job for the vet, who will be coming out within the next few days, but I just wanted to hear other people's experiences. I've read Prof Knottenburg's factsheet on them.

Adrian is 12 & already has EPSM & spavin, & it doesn't seem fair that he's now got this to contend with.

Has anyone tried Sarc-ex?

TBH I'm feeling a bit sick about the whole thing. I can't believe that Adrian's sharers, who love him to bits, & me have all missed something this big, which leads me to the unpleasant conclusion that perhaps it's growing quite aggressively. :-(((( And I've found a patch on his face & one on his front leg that I don't like the look of, that look more verrucal. :-(((((

Poor Adrian.

Fatty gets nodular sarcoids they are usually on his sheath and inside of his hind legs .
He gets them lasered off .
Only one had ever shown regrowth on the same spot ,they pop in new places .
They are lasered in the stocks under a lot of sedation.
You just need to get a vet who does sarcoid work and get it sorted they will probably wait until the end of the fly season to remove it .
Keep a close key on it .
And be meticulous about barriers on wounds of other horses .

I thought I found one on my geldings sheath the other day its only the size of a pea though, I have never seen one in this area before so was not sure if it was or not, catembi its an easy thing to miss its not like you look there all the time, how do you know if its a sarcoid will only a vet know? Sorry to hijack your post I could try and get a picture but wont be easy:/
