My lorry is due for plating and I think it's going to cost a small fortune to put it through. Can any of you recommend a good company. I have used Prime Horseboxes before who have been fine but have seen a company called Galloway Services which is nearer. Anyone had any dealings with? It is cheaper for me to pay someone to take then for me to have a day off work as my holidays and precious
 
Where abouts are you? If there is much to do on your lorry,I suggest you find a company with a workshop rather than a mobile service.In this weather ,it will be cheaper in the long run.
 
If its the one im thinking about its Newchapel/Lingfield way? nice bloke very trust worthy not too expensive as mechanics go, run from his farm
 
I dont know if you are too far away from him but I can recommend mike007!!! He just did a fab job on my little box and for a very fair price.

I use Tullett Plant down at Worthing, they charge £52 for the pre-inspection, I have always found them very helpful, and they even came out to me to sort my clutch out when it went wrong, I am up by Gatwick.
 
My friends use a nice guy in Betchworth - so close to you - and he does my annual trailer check for me. Very good job and neither has complained about their bills - and their lorries are not in the first flush of youth and they do not have money to burn! pm if you want his number. He has a yard - wont post location on a public forum but happy to share if you are interested!
