I've just found an injured adult kestrel and I'm not sure what to do with it. Can't find anyone to phone on a Saturday either! Any advice??

Put it in a box and take it to your nearest vet. Most have a surgery on a Sat. They will treat/pts/arrange for RSPCA to collect with no cost to you.

I don't know where you are but I would think that a phonecall to Secret World in Somerset, or Mrs Tiggwinkle's, would be an idea. They probably have contacts with all similar organisations across the country.

Thanks for replies, I managed to track down the RSPCA and they're sending someone out to my yard. That'll look good:rolleyes:

Oh hallelujah! The RSPCA have got off their backsides for once. Sorry to be cynical, but this has got to be the first time ever the RSPCA have got off their backsides and provided a virtually instant response ......... as an experiment you could try ringing them up and telling them there's some neglected horses on the grass verge near you & see what happens.

But like I say, I'm totally cynical as far as this organisation is concerned.
