Hi,
I am on a quest atm...to find a pair of white breeches/jods that are not see through.
I am prepared to pay good money .....I have already....but when several different makes came they were positively obscene:).....for a pair of white breeches/jods that will not show my skin tone let alone my knickers:)
I am not young and nubile....and am not Miley Cirus ....spelling might be dodgy:)..... and see through is not a good look for me:)........so any recommendations gratefully received.
Best wishes

i love my Horze breeches. You can get them with or without full seat, and they're not see through. I have both styles and prefer the full seat ones. I think they retail for around £70-80.

I have a pair of high waist Cavallo Chagall full seat breeches in cream that I adore, seriously hard wearing, always come up looking like new and the material is just thick enough that you can't see your underwear/cellulite/skin tone! I haven't tried a pair of the white ones but ai would imagine they would be similar. Expensive but well worth the money I think.

Thanks everyone:)
Off to 'web' your choices....
NBC...I can tell you.....see through is not a good look:) The material on the coloured brands I had was of a totally different thickness to the white.....hence the see thoughness:)

This - totally agree :-)

I had mountain horse white ones which were definitely not see through but they were too big for me so I rehomed them with another HHOer. But the material was nice and thick :)

I got a great pair cant remember the make I must check. They are white with a black seat so dont get saddle stained or see through.
They are not tacky and look very smart

Piker full seat and always wear nude pants, always have them out night before just to make sure not to frighten people

Lol:) Thanks....can I just ask....is the full seat very strtechy and does it stay stretchy?

Thanks MissMay...
I should have said I was after ones for competing and not sure if a black seat is permissible in dressage...will have a look.

I have some PE ones which I really love. I do also have a pair of HS equine wear (I think they are), but I have never been able to find them again, so don't know if they are still made! The HS ones are thicker than the PE ones, but on hot days this summer I just found them too much, hence purchasing the PE ones!

I do always wear either nude or white pants with them however - although I have tried them on with black pants on, and even black pants are ever so noticeable under them (I just couldn't go to a show like that as I would be paranoid about them all day!!).

Re the white breeches with black seat - I think you can wear those at BD - The idea is that once you are in the saddle with your jacket on, you can't actually see the colour of the seat, so it doesn't actually matter :)

Thanks Mary Christmas and Abbeygale:)
I do wear white knickers...but hilariously...when I phoned up the one company to say you could actually see the label on the knickers......she suggested I wear a thong:O OMG....I was mortified.....and it conjoured up some very unpleasant images.....as although I am trim.....I AM TOO OLD FOR A THONG:)
She roared with laughter...and then suggested I wear a long jacket...to hide the knickers.....at which I pointed out...there was BOUND to be an 'oh I forgot to wear my jacket' incident in the summer...for a full knicker expose:)
